About

This is a very special Aboriginal cultural event in collaboration with Bruce Muckadda Shillingsworth and family. We will be learning how to cook traditional widja (bread) on the campfire and about traditional indigenous history and culture.

$15 per child - all profits will be donated to Yaama Guroo.

Wear warm clothing and enclosed shoes as the session may continue into the evening/dark. Please ensure long hair is tied back and avoid wearing any loose items of clothing or jewellery.

Please bring drinks, snacks/dinner for your family - we will be eating widja but there may not be enough for "dinner" as such. Widja contains gluten. There will not be a gluten free alternative available. We will be enjoying it with indigenous berry jams and butter. Widja is halal friendly.

Toileting is limited. Please be prepared for your children to do bush wees. The session will be postponed in the event of rain.
