About

This is a special Winter excursion event. We will be exploring the pine plantation forests of Belanglo State Forest. The location is 1.5hrs drive from Parramatta. Please ensure that you leave home with enough time to be at the meeting point by 11:30am to minimise waiting time for the group. Please inform Karlie well in advance if you are running late.

Cost: $15 per child (babies free)

PAY ID: 0404 276 675

Karlene Hindmarsh

BSB: 062 202

Acct No: 11043347

Meeting point (11:30am): Turn RIGHT off Hume Hwy (M31) at Belanglo Rd (look out for the sign or you will miss the turn off). Meet at the public toilets/Al's Donut Van just inside the Belanglo Rd turn off.

We will start with a nature hunt in the forest,  followed by pitching a tent and lighting a campfire in Daly's Clearing. The kids will be roasting potatoes in the hot coals and toasting marshmallows. Karlie will set up low ropes stations and a mud kitchen in the trees.

WHAT TO BRING:

NB: This is a remote location. There are no water taps in the forest. Toilets available. Dress very warmly (puffer jackets, gloves, beanies) and wear gumboots or enclosed shoes. The forest can get quite cold.

-Tissues & small plastic bag in case you need to do bush wees/poos

-Enough drinking water/ you own lunch/snacks for your family for the whole day

-Any additional snacks you wish to cook for your family on the campfire (eg, corn cobs, chestnuts)

-Hand sanitiser

-Picnic blanket/camp chairs

-Enough petrol in your tank so you don't risk running empty

I look forward to hosting you on this exciting Winter adventure!

Stay wild, Karlie :)
